Slate Run Sportsmen membership runs April 1 of the current year, through March 31 of the following year.

Why Become a Slate Run Sportsmen?

Slate Run Sportsmen (SRS) works cooperatively with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFCB), the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and others to maintain the region’s pristine forests and waterways.

SRS activities include monitoring stream conditions, Legislative Advocacy, Stream Cleanup, Membership Education, and Information Sharing.

In addition to maintaining Fly Fishing Only regulations on Slate Run, we also ensure the 2.8 mile no-kill project on Pine Creek (aka ‘The Stretch’), Cedar Run and other nearby trout waters remain high quality trout fisheries. SRS supports the Brown Trout Club by providing funding for the stockings and directly participates in the actual planting of these beautiful trout into Pine Creek.

We need to take action if we want Slate Run, Cedar Run, and Pine Creek to remain a high quality fishery for future generations. Joining SRS is one way to do this.
